Many gym enthusiasts avoid squats because they fear knee pain or lower back strain. However, squats are one of the most functional compound movements to build glutes, quads, hamstrings and core stability. Pain rarely comes from the squat itself; it usually stems from poor movement patterns, weak stabilizers and bad habits.
